STAGE MANAGER
The Stage Manager is the central communicator between the venue and the rest of Universal Studios Hollywood. He/she is directly responsible for the smooth operation of both live shows and the venues they take place in, while keeping in compliance with established Company safety and quality (both technical and artistic) standards. The Stage Manager is the person on site and in charge on a day to day basis. The Stage Manager prepares and distributes all daily reports and paperwork concerning the show. This is a seasonal, IBEW Local 40 union position.
Requirements: Previous Stage Management experience (theme park experience a plus). Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to lift 30 pounds unassisted. Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to work in the elements, including but not limited to rain, heat and the sun. Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to loud noises, pyrotechnic effects, water and darkness. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights of up to 40 feet. Able to climb ladders.

SOUND STAGE MANAGER
As a Sound Stage Manager, you will ensure that live shows at USH bring the thrilling sounds of Hollywood to our guests. This requires the operation and administration of several live shows, running audio and video cues in a live show environment; including running pre-show checks; resetting props and show effects, monitoring show operations, completing daily show report documentation, and running the show venue in the absence of a Stage Manager. Additionally, maintain the good condition of show sound and lighting equipment and related areas; problem-solve with cast, crew, technical staff, and management; and perform other duties as assigned. Theatrical production experience and stagecraft knowledge preferred. This is a seasonal, IBEW Local 40 union position.
Requirements: At least 18 years of age. Previous live sound mixing experience is a requirement, and a strong knowledge of sound, lighting, and stagecraft is highly recommended. Must be familiar with operation of analog and digital sound boards and be able to troubleshoot as needed. Able to lift 30 pounds unassisted. Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to work in the elements, including but not limited to rain, heat and the sun. Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to loud noises, pyrotechnic effects, water and darkness. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights of up to 40 feet. Able to climb ladders.

SHOW CREW
Support the operation of theatrical shows, including Water World: A Live Seawar Spectacular®, Fear Factor Live©, and Terminator 2:3D©. Set props and set dressings before shows. Load pyrotechnic special effects. Enable manual and computerized show effects during shows, while ensuring guest and performer safety. Maintain the cleanliness of audience area, stage, and backstage areas. Skills include: Theatrical production experience and stagecraft knowledge preferred. Must possess a strong work ethic and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to change. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions efficiently are required. This is a seasonal, IATSE B192 union position.
Requirements: At least 18 years of age. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to swim in waters 15 feet deep for up to 5 minutes unassisted. Able to climb ladders. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights of up to 40 feet. Able to work in the elements, including but not limited to rain, heat and the sun. Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to loud noises, pyrotechnic effects, water and darkness.

DRESSER
The Costume Department is fun, fast-paced environment that provides performers with costumes, wigs, and make-up. This is an exciting opportunity to get your start in the Entertainment Industry and work with an inspiring cast of characters. We support 6 different venues in the Theme Park including: Terminator 2-3D, Van Helsing Maze, Special Effects Stages, Water World, Fear Factor Live and the Main Costume Shop which supports all the Look-a-Like Characters, Cartoon Characters and Improv Performers. Duties include: Following opening and closing procedures at a variety of shows, issuing costumes to performers, fast costume changes at a variety of shows. Filing costumes, following specific laundry procedures and completing minor repairs. This is a seasonal, IATSE 768 union position.
Requirements: Proficiency with basic sewing and mending techniques. Ability to perform basic costume maintenance and repairs. Ability to perform quick-changes on performers and park guests. This includes, bending, twisting and waling up and down stairs. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. Ability to work with a wide range of people in variety of settings. Be energetic and outgoing. Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
